New Fast Pace Clinic Restores Healthcare to the Community
by G. Chambers Williams III
Fast Pace Health recently opened its state-of-the-art urgent-care and primary medical clinic in Rocky Top, marking the return of medical services to the community after the closure of a Covenant physicians’ practice four years ago.
A New Facility for the Community
Situated at 510 N. Main St., opposite Glenn’s Pizza, the construction of the clinic was completed in mid-December, following the commencement of work in mid-summer. Although the opening was initially scheduled for the holidays, it had to be postponed until last week due to staffing issues.
For now, the clinic operates from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, but it has plans to expand its operating hours. Soon, it will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays, and 1-5 p.m. on Sundays, according to Chris Craig, the senior director of marketing strategy at Fast Pace Health, a reputable medical institution headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee.
A Welcomed Addition
The new 3,600-square-foot facility, with an estimated cost of around $550,000, was highly anticipated in the community. The city of Rocky Top’s Planning Commission approved the project during its June 2021 meeting, and the building permit was issued shortly after.
Previously an empty lot, the new building now sits next to a motel and a Mexican restaurant. The lot had been vacant since the 1990s, as revealed by City Manager Michael Foster. Fast Pace not only serves the local community but also caters to travelers on Interstate 75 in need of urgent care. It conveniently sits off Exit 129, making it the sole urgent-care facility between southern Kentucky and I-75 Exit 122 in Clinton.
Expanding Care Accessibility
Fast Pace Health has been steadily expanding its reach across various states. In addition to the new clinic in Rocky Top, it has walk-in clinic locations in Tennessee, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Indiana. The company, which values convenience and compassion, seeks to provide accessible care to the communities it serves.
The clinics do not require appointments and are in-network with most major health insurance plans, making healthcare services hassle-free. According to the Fast Pace Health website, the company’s growth has been substantial since its inception in 2009 when it operated a single clinic in Collinwood, TN. With plans for further expansion, Fast Pace Health has become a trusted name in urgent care and primary healthcare.
Unparalleled Convenience and Comprehensive Services
Fast Pace Health clinics offer an extensive range of treatments for illnesses, injuries, and common conditions. Additionally, they provide wellness programs, diagnostic services, and screening procedures. Patients appreciate the short wait times, daily availability of urgent care services, and the ability to consult primary care providers without prior appointments.
The clinics also prioritize affordability. Besides accepting insurance, they offer self-pay options at reasonable rates for uninsured patients. Each Fast Pace Health clinic features multiple examination rooms, on-site lab testing, and X-ray capabilities, ensuring comprehensive medical attention.
The newly opened Rocky Top clinic also has its own Facebook page, where patients and community members can find relevant information.
This exciting development from Fast Pace Health brings high-quality medical care back to Rocky Top, strengthening the healthcare infrastructure and delivering accessible and compassionate services to the local community.
