In light of the show’s resounding success, Netflix has entered into an exclusive, multi-year creative partnership with Padrón for the development of new series and films. With this agreement, Pálpito’s second season becomes Padrón’s top priority.
“I feel privileged and honored by the responsibility that Netflix has given me to continue captivating audiences with my stories,” said Padrón, a renowned Venezuelan film and television writer, poet, and chronicler. “Pálpito has once again proven that content from Latin America can transcend borders. These projects have a unique essence that maintains their universal appeal, while showcasing a rich tapestry of local talent both in front of and behind the camera. They bring us stories that provide profound insights into the world.”
Padrón is widely recognized for his award-winning work on other Spanish-language TV shows such as Amores de Fin de Siglo, El país de las mujeres, Ciudad Bendita, Amar a Muerte, Si Nos Dejan, and La Mujer Perfecta. He is also an accomplished author, with 23 published books in various languages, including poetry, chronicles, essays, interviews, and children’s literature.
“Collaborating with a creator of Padrón’s caliber offers the opportunity to produce profound, original, and impactful stories,” shared Roberto Stopello, VP of Series, Latam Content at Netflix. “We are thrilled to continue bringing Latin American content to the global stage, just as we have seen with Pálpito.”

The narrative of Pálpito revolves around Simon (played by Michel Brown), a man driven by vengeance after his wife is murdered by organ traffickers, who had sold her heart to a wealthy individual desperate to save his own spouse. In his desperate pursuit of justice, Simon unexpectedly falls in love with Camila (Ana Lucía Domínguez), the woman who received his deceased wife’s heart. The first season concludes with the explosive revelation of the truth, leaving viewers at the edge of their seats.
“As soon as the first season ended, fans began clamoring for more. I couldn’t have hoped for a better response,” revealed Padrón. “I am absolutely thrilled to be creating another season for our viewers, especially under this new deal. Since Season 2 was just announced, I haven’t yet decided on the direction of the story. For now, I am relishing the good news, savoring the moment, before reuniting with these characters in my writer’s room to chart their new adventures. I am committed to delivering what has captivated the viewers thus far and more. They can expect an exhilarating season that will leave them wanting even more. That’s my pledge.”
