There’s simply no substitute for the distinct flavor of oyster sauce. Opting for the right brand is vital to achieving the intended taste. Personally, I recommend the Lee Kum Kee panda brand. Avoid purchasing oyster sauce from the ethnic aisle of regular grocery stores, as the flavor profiles may differ greatly. Once you invest in oyster sauce, you can explore numerous other recipes, including Asian-inspired vegetables like baby kailan in oyster sauce or mushrooms in oyster sauce. It also makes a fantastic addition to noodle dishes. In fact, I love combining soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, and oyster sauce as a base for my noodles.
