Kara and TJ’s wedding at the Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Museum was nothing short of magical. Their love story is filled with serendipitous encounters and sweet moments that make their union all the more special. Let’s delve into the details of their beautiful day!
The Couple
Kara and TJ’s paths crossed when they both moved to Baltimore around the same time. Fate brought them together through a kickball team and a shared love for rooftop hot dogs and beers. Despite some hilarious mishaps on the kickball field, their laughter ignited a spark between them. Later on, they reconnected at one of their favorite bars, The Horse You Came In On, and T.J. finally mustered up the courage to ask Kara on their first date.
The Proposal
T.J. wanted to create the perfect proposal for Kara, one that reflected the unique bond they shared. On a muggy Sunday in May, they spent the day watching college lacrosse games with friends in Annapolis. After dinner, T.J. led Kara to a secret spot he had discovered on Google Maps. Though their original plan was foiled by a closed gate, they found an empty dock nearby. With trembling hands and nervous excitement, T.J. got down on one knee amidst the backdrop of shimmering water. Kara didn’t hesitate to say “Yes!” and their journey towards marriage began.
The Wedding
T.J. and Kara’s wedding day was truly a celebration of love and joy. The couple exchanged vows at St. Casimir’s Church, a place with sentimental value to Kara and her family due to its golden domes. The beauty of their portraits along the water in Fells perfectly captured their happiness. The party continued at the Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Museum, where friends and family joined in the festivities. Surrounded by their loved ones, they danced the night away, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
