Hosting Your Event
If you’re an author or publisher interested in hosting an event at Verbatim Books, we would be thrilled to hear from you. We welcome signed authors and publishers to reach out to us. As a primarily used bookstore, we now order more new books, allowing us to consider hosting events for traveling authors whose works align with our selection.
Please refrain from contacting us with sales pitches or attempts to get us to purchase new titles. We do not buy or sell books via Amazon, so we won’t be able to respond to such messages.
Submission Guidelines
If you’d like to propose an event, please keep the following guidelines in mind and get in touch with us:

Alignment with Our Bookstore: We prioritize events that feature authors and titles aligning with our store’s offerings. While we’re open to considering new titles from signed authors and publishers, we prefer to feature works already available in our store.

Engaging and Experiential: We love events that go beyond traditional book signings. We want to offer our patrons a chance to deeply connect with authors and their works. So please propose events that are engaging, interactive, and experiential.

Event Details: When contacting us, provide the date and time of your proposed event, author/publisher information, additional participants (if applicable), and the book titles by each participant.
Embracing Self-Published Authors
At Verbatim Books, we strive to create captivating and enriching experiences for our patrons. While we may not often host traditional “book signings,” we are open to hosting engaging and interactive events such as book readings, discussions, and panels that provide multiple perspectives. We believe that events featuring lineups of authors, poets, or artists can create dynamic and memorable experiences for our community.

Professional/Commercial Photography
We kindly request that all professional photo shoots be scheduled outside of our regular business hours. While we appreciate the love for our space, we value the comfort and enjoyment of our customers. Therefore, we do not allow any professional photo shoots during business hours. If you’re interested in capturing the charm of our bookstore, please reach out to us to discuss scheduling your professional photo shoot.
