Having spent the last few months going through lots of ecommerce websites for various different work projects, I thought it’d be a good idea to write a post about my favourite ones.
I chose the following websites based on their design and uniqueness and the order is not based on which ones I prefer.
I plan on updating this piece every few months and will be adding new ecommerce stores soon – if you have any suggestions, please feel free to drop me an email.
Clos19
LVMH’s premium wine & spirits website is a prime example of a luxury e-commerce environment – a clean, minimalist design is complemented by wealth of content and features including the clever ‘Event Planner’ and the content-rich ‘Journal19’ blog.

Glossier
Cult brand Glossier’s e-commerce store is full of quirky design features matching the product packaging & perfectly bridging the offline / online experience. Wealth of customer reviews & user generated content are true to the firm’s ethos as a leader in socially driven commerce. Interesting functionality includes product subscription services and customer review statistics e.g. most liked positive review, average age of customers buying this product and more.

Nixon
The watch brand’s website is easily shoppable thanks to well laid out product listing pages with a smart swatch selector and information-rich product detail pages which include everything from the product’s story to a downloadable user manual. A highlight from Nixon’s website is the very slick customiser tool allowing you to build your very own watch.
